shedding, gathering, reflecting

I am deep in the serpent's dance. The anniversary of the Eaton fire approaches, and I realize I have slithered across and coiled in many terrains last year. It is only while looking back from my current vantage point that I realize I have already been in ecdysis and perhaps, had been resisting it—wearing an expired self like an ill-fitted costume; exfoliated by sharp and rocky paths; my outer vision clouded, while my inner vision asks me to trust the process.

I slough off and behold the old layer(s), stories, and identities as mementos of dimensions I no longer inhabit. In the process of shedding, for what am I making space? What dimensions of me will be unveiled? I don't know yet, and that's ok. I can feel myself at a threshold, again. I feelmore space freeing up within me. For now, I am asked to keep low to the ground, to listen, to receive.

In my dreams and prayers, something speaks and stirs. The other night, I dreamt of a verdant green, venomous snake—ready to strike, clearing away all in its path with a fierceness. Thorny and juicy, red roses “randomly” appear in places I visit. Birds rush past my face on a few morning walks, a whoosh of air brushing my cheek and keeping me alert. Constancia, my late paternal grandmother, reminds me that things don't have to be so heavy all of the time. She holds my hands, her laughter echoing around me.

The image of a gentle, glowing stream continues to appear. Gather, they encourage me while motioning to the chest, gather yourself. May the gathering replenish and pour from your heart, (over)flowing outward.

This stays with and refocuses me. I've been cooking for and feeding my well ancestors/my selves again at our altar, making sure they/we are nourished by broths, stews, and hot beverages—a pleasurable and deeply sensory process, though personal "optimization" is not the end goal in and of itself.

I desire to be more present, honest, responsive, creative, and juicy in this moment. I desire to replenish my energy and whet my appetite amidst hungry, insatiable ghosts. I desire to be absolutely alive and awake with pleasure and magic and wonder. And if my desires read as errors in a system that normalizes mass illness, dissociation, extraction, exploitation, and violence—so be it/may it be so.

I've alluded to this in past newsletters, but inside voice is changing shape. I don't know how just yet, but you'll be one of the first to know when. Thank you for being here <3

In the meantime, I opened up a few spaces this month for virtual past life regressions to support you during the quiet of winter and this time of reflection and refocusing.

Your lived experiences are a library full of wisdom that can ground you in the present, help you release outdated cycles, and guide you toward your desires. Past life regression is an act of remembering that reminds us of the choices we have now.

If you wish to open your imagination, spirit, and curiosity up to non-ordinary experiences for greater perspective and awareness in your present life, book below:
